I do not disconnect the cable and it works without issues on other computers, else I would not have started this thread. Please stop trying to lead this in a wrong direction. I have not tried is the keyboard works after using the reset button on the case - that will be the next experiment. Having to reboot after power off is annoying and I can imagine scenarios, where reaching the reboot option in Windows might not be possible.

  • Reboot, now BIOS can be reached pressing DEL and if going into Windows the keyboards also works for log in and so on (I am typing this on my Model M).

  • I have also been in touch with MSI support that got back to me and suggested I try the beta BIOS, this however changed nothing and I suspect that is just standard procedure(I wasn't keen on installing a beta BIOS, but since they suggested.). It turns out that after rebooting the keyboards works perfectly and this goes for both BIOS and also Windows. In an attempt to remedy the issue I have updated the BIOS to the latest non-beta version, but the 7C35vA8 did not change anything. When powering up the three LED's flash on the keyboards as normal, but apart from that nothing works so clearly the motherboard is not reacting to any use of the keyboard. So really it is keyboards that are as standard as can be. One I have been using for years on other systems with no issues and the other being a "new" taken straight out of the original box, same issue with both. I am trying to use a IBM Model M keyboard and I have tested with two different ones. I have an issue where my PS/2 keyboards are not working with the Unify X570 keyboard.
